What is Preceptor Connect?
We are a matching service that connects Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Physician Assistant (PA) students with clinical preceptors for their psychiatric rotations, so students do not have to search for placements on their own.
How does the matching process work?
Three steps. First, fill out the student form describing what you need. Second, a coordinator contacts you personally to help find a match. Third, once matched, you connect directly with your preceptor and begin your rotation.
Do you place students from any school?
Yes! We do not have any school restrictions.
How much does a clinical preceptor cost?
Placements start at $1,200 for up to 99 hours, or $15/hr for 100+ hours, plus a $100 placement fee that applies toward your total. See our full pricing and guarantees for school honorariums, multi-rotation discounts, and refund terms.
How long does it take to find a psychiatric preceptor?
On average we find a suitable preceptor within two weeks. If we cannot, we tell you as early as possible so you have time to search elsewhere, and your search fee is refunded.
What specialties do you have preceptors for?
Currently we offer Preceptors in the Psychiatric Mental Health field. That’s where we have established preceptor relationships and where we can place you reliably. If you need a different specialty, contact us anyway and we will tell you honestly whether we can help rather than start a search we cannot finish.
What are my guarantees?
If there are issues with your preceptor or rotation outside of your control, we first make every effort to find you a replacement. If that is not possible, your money is refunded according to your contract. See our full pricing and guarantees page for details.
